"Pain is inevitable in life, but suffering is optional." The Buddha

A thousand times we die in this life.
We crumble.
We break.
Waiting for wisdom to open the cage.
Trying to heal while trying to grieve.
Trying to be brave while trying to smile.
Trying to love while trying to survive.
We are forged in fire until the layers of illusion are melted away.
Left only with the truth of who we really are.
How many wounds have we justified because we loved the one holding the knife?
How many times must we repeat endeavors simply to avoid disappointment?
Which is more gratifying?
Owning the part we could do better or finally recognizing our worth?
If we forgive the past, it has no power over us.
Allowing us to acknowledge we are whole, even as we grow.
Life will present greater chances.
More happiness.
More love.
If we simply breathe in possibilities on the winds of hope.
Too often standing on the edge of abyss, all we see is darkness.
Acknowledging the hardest journeys are the ones we must do on our own.
Oh heart, please just believe.
Eyes closed.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Take one small step.
The path will never be straight forward.
Sometimes we may go backwards.
There will be roadblocks, U-turns, dead ends.
Twisting, turning, circling, before propelling us forward again.
Persistence will always be more important than perfection.
We are learning.
Growing.
We either evolve or die.
There’s no other way.
A flower that blooms in adversity is the most beautiful of all.
So, let faith rise-up.
Let our hearts believe.
Even when our eyes can’t see, let us trust the inner voice that speaks.
I'm here for you and you are here for me.
Each giving space to lay down our burdens.
The greatest therapy is friendship and love.
A gentle reminder that we are not alone.
Together, we will heal.
