I had to fall to rise.

From my failures I am stronger than I once was.

There are lessons I couldn’t learn another way.

I have cried rivers of tears in silence.

Was lost in the depths of loneliness.

Battling to subdue the prayer of vengeance.

Forged in the fire of injustice.

Then the crucible tipped over.

Resilience spilled forth from my soul.

I rediscovered my own power.

Instituted the courage to stand alone.

There were days I felt I wouldn’t make it.

A smile seemed impossible.

Then a friend would extend a hand,

Lifting me back up again.

Reality is not always pretty.

But there’s beauty in unusual ways.

I have stood in the inferno of accusation.

Emerged a warrior from its flames.

No longer afraid of the unknown.

I have survived.

Now I am thriving.

Finding my voice and lending it to others.

Had to die in the blaze to be reborn.

The darkness couldn't extinguish my light.

This journey breathed new life into me.

Waking me up from all the delusion.

I am a fighter.

A believer.

A dreamer.

I will never forget the suffering.

It’s the fuel that propels me forward.

Standing in the ashes of my former self.

In the embers a new version was born.

I am capable of all that I choose now.

Believe that anything is possible.

The mark of an extraordinary women is not how she rises,

It’s how she reaches back to raise others up.
